Before TAFE you think you know everything, you might have been good, now you're amazing!

My dream is to learn to cook properly because I LOVE to be in the kitchen cooking. At TAFE I'm learning a huge amount of things and can cook much faster than before. I'm now learning the true foundations of cooking like how to prepare each type of dish, how long they take and what temperature and method to choose. It's a great value, so I'm learning a lot. Before TAFE you think you know everything, like how to make a sauce. Before the sauce might have been good, now it's amazing!

Payment Plan

If you have difficulty paying the full cost of a course up front you might be eligible for a payment plan. This will allow you to pay for your course in instalments, rather than one upfront payment at the time of enrolment.

Subsidised

The Queensland Government will offset the cost of study for eligible students. You will still need to pay for a portion of your study costs. The amount above is what you will need to pay.

Certificate 3 Guarantee

You can receive a subsidy funded by the Queensland Government towards one certificate III qualification from a list of eligible courses. The amount provided depends on the demand for skilled workers in your chosen industry.

You're eligible for the Certificate 3 Guarantee if you:

  • are 15 years or older and no longer in school
  • live in Queensland full time
  • are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or temporary resident with the necessary visa or work permits
  • and don't currently have (or are enrolled in) a certificate 3 or higher level qualification.

Give us a call to find out more.

Please note: As part of your enrolment into a Certificate 3 Guarantee program you will need to complete a student survey.

If you're a Queensland resident, have just finished year 12 and are keen to start your studies within the next calendar year, you might be eligible to study fee free!

The Queensland government has identified a number of industries with a high demand for trained workers. To help fill these gaps, they will pay the full cost of a number of certificate III qualifications in high-priority study areas under the Certificate 3 Guarantee and User Choice programs. We want school leavers to gain the important skills and training they need before starting their university studies or careers - debt-free. For more info, check out the Training Queensland website, or call TAFE Queensland East Coast on 1300 656 188.
