Under the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act 2004 anyone who undertakes gas work (installs, removes, alters, repairs, services, tests or certifies) on the gas system of a type A device must have a current gas work licence. Type A gas devices include appliances used for producing heat, light or power or for refrigeration where gas is the fuel.  This program has been designed for plumbers and gas workers who have completed or are completing the Certificate IV in Plumbing (full certificate or operation stream). Entry requirements

Mandatory: Entry into this program is only available for students who currently hold an Interim Gas Work License. Visit the Department of Mines and Energy website for more information about gas work licensing.

Enrolment Entry Requirements
All students must have a consultation with teacher prior to enrolment. Only approved students who have completed this consult can be enrolled into this course.

Resources required

Students will be required to attend class with an electronic device (laptop or tablet) to complete the online learning components. Please ensure your device is up-to-date with software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player.

Timetable

Total course duration is five days practical. The teacher will advise which time you are to attend.
