Training Needs Analysis

Funded training programs for building and construction workers

If you are currently working in the Queensland building and construction industry you may be eligible for CSQ funded training under one of the following programs.

CSQ Short Courses (SC)

The Short Courses Program provides funding for a range of accredited competencies to assist with the up-skilling and cross-skilling of existing workers in the Queensland Building and Construction Industry. This training focuses on the safety requirements of the building and construction industry and associated requirements of licencing and regulatory authorities such as Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, Queensland Building and Construction Commission and National Occupational Licensing Authority.

Competencies:

  • UEENEEP014A Disconnect - reconnect water heaters connected to low voltage installation wiring
  • UEENEEP019A Locate and rectify faults in low voltage water heaters using set procedures

CSQ Higher Level Skills

The Higher Level Skills General Construction program aims to retain the skills of existing workers in the Queensland Building and Construction Industry by providing access to Certificate IV and higher level vocational training qualifications. Eligible building and construction workers who want to further develop their skills are provided with training and assessment in a range of subsidised qualifications.
